MEMORANDUM
TO:
BPM Employees
FROM:
Paul Weber, Vice President of Operations
DATE:
September 14, 2020
SUBJECT:
Hurricane Sally
Earlier today, the National Weather Service issued hurricane and flood warnings for Mobile County and the surrounding areas with tropical storm conditions and flooding possible starting tonight through Wednesday.
As a result, we will shut down BPM operations beginning at the conclusion of dayshift today (September 14, 2020). All shifts starting tonight through Wednesday night will be cancelled with normal operations resuming on Thursday morning. In the pipe mill, two shifts will be added on Friday to capture some of the lost production. We will continue to monitor the weather situation and if needed, provide additional updates based on future weather developments. All employees are advised to take adequate precautions during this inclement weather event.
Employees may use vacation for the cancelled shifts if they have days available.
As a reminder, a link is placed below with the latest hurricane preparedness checklist provided by the National Hurricane Center.
