BPP Christmas Party 2019
Happy Holidays from Berg Pipe Panama City!
It's the most wonderful time of the year here at Berg! December is a time for looking back at events which have happened during the year and looking forward with anticipation to the events which the new year might bring.
At Panama City’s 39th Annual Holiday Party we had 300 Berg employees, Remedy associates, and guests attend our party at Edgewater Beach Resort. Our Employee Activities Committee decided to do a fun spin on this year’s party and hold an Ugly Christmas Sweater contest. Our 1st place prize went to Austin Luckett! Austin dressed as Ralphie, rocking the pink bunny suit pajamas from A Christmas Story. Madison Barnes came in a close 2nd place, following Dan Station in 3rd place. From an ugly sweater picture station to #ShowOff that ugly sweater, a photo booth by Epic Photos, entertainment provided by DJ Owtkass, and over 25 prizes raffled out to employees, it was a great evening to spend with friends and colleagues. During the evening, we had the opportunity to recognize our Safety committee, Employee Activity Committee, IDEA of the Year recipients, Employees of the Month in 2019, and Employee of the Year for 2020, and employees with perfect attendance.
This is our 5th year going strong with our Employee of the Month & Year Program. The program recognizes an employee each month who demonstrates excellence and makes exceptional contributions to Berg Pipe. And out of all the employees of the Month, only one is selected to be Employee of the Year. For 2020, Andrea Hauck was selected by her peers and awarded Employee of the Year. Andrea was nominated for consistently bringing her “A” game every day. She can always be counted on to help in any way possible to ensure the team still meets their performance goals. Andrea will receive a $750 cash award and a prime parking spot for the entire year. Keep an eye out too for an article on her in the News Herald.
Many thanks to our committees in 2019, because behind every great party is a great party planning committee! Our Employee Activities Committee (EAC) plays a huge role in all our company events such as our summer family picnic, charity events, and wellness initiatives. They inspire excitement and build a positive culture at Berg. And none of it could be possible without the help from Tom Browning, Katie Cherry, Pat Cobb, Mario Cole, Kathleen Ferrell, Andrea Hauck, Tiffany Hawley, Cloyd Hurley, Lauren Laramore, JJ Lockamy, Laurie Williams, and Willie Bryant.
Also, a huge thank you to our Safety Committee! They are creators and nurturers of our culture for safety. Because at the end of the day, we all want to go home safe to our families! Thank you, Michael Ballack, Cliff Gilbert, Willie Gray, Walter Green, Willie Green, Anthony Guilford, JK Herring, David Meyers, Tim Lister, Justin S. Powell, and Kenny Taylor for your leadership and dedication to safety. And our IDEA of the Year was awarded to Reggie Cox and Avery Savage; because of their creativity and innovation, we can continue to support and achieve our production goals for years to come.
