2019 Step Challenge
In order to increase employee participation and shine a light on health and wellness, Berg Pipe utilized the website Power of Vitality to host a company challenge between two locations: Panama City and Mobile. Employees got together in groups of roughly 10 participants each to see which location and which teams could get the most steps over the span of a little over a month. There were some early-on and continued leaders of this challenge, and we are pleased to be able to finally announce the winners of the event.
Everyone who participated in this event were put into a drawing to win one of two Garmin watches valued at $200 each. The participation drawing’s Garmin watches go to Katie Cherry and JD Foote!
BPP’s team Steppin Wolves won with total steps of over 4.8 million and an average daily step count of ~15,000! BPM’s highest earning team was Happy Feet with a total of over 3.6 million steps and an average daily step count of ~10,000!
This year, we had 79 participants with a total of more than 23.5 MILLION steps in a one-month period. Our top steppers for BPP included Artie Lange, Nick Virbitsky, and Jason Travis. For BPM, we had Vern Dillion, Cheryl Johnson, and Chris Mendenhall.
